January 9th 2010, 4th day of freezing temps in Canton, TX!

It has been below freezing for so many days here that our cats could actually walk on it this morning!

This is Oreo (Mikayla's cat) on pond by himself.

This is Domino (Meg's cat) running up to Oreo scaring the crud out of him. Hence the hissing and ears back :)

This is the two of them walking away together, best buds as usual! Then they started playing and rough housing. Now, it is starting to melt. But the girls have been over there on the edges in 1/2 hour increments playing and having a blast with Abigail!

Life/Home Skills Class - Burks' Homeschool

This is one of our first life/home lessons. I took the girls to buy fabric and they got to choose what they wanted to make on their new sewing machines. Megan picked making a blanket with fleece and ribbon on 3 sides. The print is frogs, very cute! And the back is lime green!

Mikayla chose to make a blanket for her foster cousin Violet! Top side is dogs and back side is violet with pink ribbon on all 4 sides. They both did so incredibly well for their first projects. They start a new project with ChouChou next week. Will post more pics then.
